Is there any way to get a beach ball to pop like a balloon? Would high pressure air work?

Would high pressure air work?
The most funny way is a combination of overinflation and hard and fast ride. Under you a big bubble appears on a middle of a segment and then pops. For a ride place the ball "vertically" to reduce the load around a "poles", a known weak places of most of the balls. -

Sounds interesting, I've always wanted to get some good loud pops out of a 42" beach ball.Comment

Try stomping one on a concrete path... that makes plenty of noiseComment

Love to give a one a nice squeeze pop, or gave a loud pop with a pin.Comment

You'll never get one to pop with a pin, but you can get some good booms if you over inflate them - mouth or compressed air works - I have more luck with compressed air.
Also, they're more likely to go boom if they're cold as the vinyl doesn't stretch so much and just tears (this is also where compressed air helps, as that's cold too).Vicci xComment

You’ve got to get the entire seam to go! I’d go with slow overinflation using an inflator or a foot pump.Comment

Bouncing will cause a panel to shred, rather than a split seam. It's pretty loud, too.
FWIW, loading a 20" or 24" ball with 600 pounds won't generally pop it. They'll usually hold that much weight, at least for a bit. When it does fail, it's usually a small split in the seam and then a fast deflate. Larger balls are actually less sturdy.Comment
