new prop: big hunk of glass

So I had an opportunity to buy a huge piece of glass. It's a defect stair tread, meant for a glass stairway. One tread is heavy enough to require help lifting it.

I used concrete blocks and rubber to built a temporary bench with it. What does a glass bench have to do with inflatables?

Have you ever wondered what the flattened portion of an inflatable looks like from underneath when you bottom out on it?

I got the idea looking at big women on swim rings and air mattresses from underneath with goggles on. In the pool, of course. With a glass bench you can do it without a pool!

The span of glass between my concrete legs is about 30 inches deep and seven feet long. I asked how much weight will this hold and was told to not worry about it.

Now I can turn "I think I'm bottoming out" into scientific inquiry lol.

FWIW a 700 pound woman lying on an air mattress does not bottom out, because she is spread out so much, but when she sits up, indeed she does bottom out. So, not all her weight is on the inflatable!
