Hello everyone,
Got some time to kill, so I thought I'd share this story of what was - looking back on it now - the truly defining moment of the development of my balloon fetish. It was over 20 years ago, as I'm in my late thirties now, and can only be put down to an incredible coincidence, or perhaps even fate
I grew up in London and was 14, I think, when I purchased my first ever "porno mag" in the good old pre-internet days of the mid-1990s. I actually bought it from a school friend whose older brother had bought it from a corner shop (convenience store). I paid a premium to get my hands on it, and it was in mint condition - not, ahem, "used" in any way. It was a copy of "Razzle" for those in the U.K to remember, and what was contained inside would have a very profound effect on me.
In one section of the magazine, there was the usual spread of a model - an attractive blonde. However, mixed in with the pictures were reader's letters to the model herself and her replies. Naturally, there was the usual "I'd like to fuck you this way or that" and her typical flattering responses. Then mixed in was what I now know to be letter from a total LOONER!
He went on describe how he'd like to see her naked in a room full of balloons, popping them with her nails, sitting on them etc. etc. I couldn't believe my eyes! I used to have the letter and her response practically memorized. Her response was great and she even referenced another man she knew (Ken of Hants - I'll never forget that name) who was also into balloons. She ended her response with "Next birthday, I promise to give it a go".
Now, I'm not saying this started my balloon fetish. I had already developed a sexual tendency towards balloons, but you can only imagine what it did to it's development!!! It legitimized my feelings, and crucially for so many looners, I learnt I wasn't the only one. It made it all less weird for me. We forget so easily how in the pre-internet age (as I have read from so many other Looners) it was next to impossible to know you weren't alone, or let alone see any Looner material - I don't think intentional Looner porn even existed.
Looking back on this episode now twenty-plus years later, I don't even know what to think. Seriously, what are the fucking chances I would stumble across a piece balloon fetish-themed writing in a totally mainstream pornograhic magazine in the mid-1990s that I bought at random? The odds are insane, was I just crazy lucky or was this something else? I don't tend to believe in fate, but ....
