Except for the fact that I wear glasses, i'd rather wear eye protection. Ear protection would take away much of the fun for me. I really like the loud pops and also the little ringing it sometimes gives me.

I'm a non-popper and have been experimenting with ear protection lately, so I'll say ears.

Definitely ears.

I always use ear protection when it comes to balloon play.
I really hate the ringing and the deaf feeling in my ear after some pops.
Not all pops aren't that loud, but my balloons are usually quite tight which makes the pop louder.

I wear glasses anyway, so there's always a certain eye protection.

Both. I always wear earplugs and I put on safety glasses when I'm blowing them up by mouth.

I usually wear glasses (not safety-glasses, they look horrible) to protect my eyes. Sometimes I wear earplugs, especially when intending to pop big balloons on my own.
