I'm looking to see who was a looner when I was when the internet was just getting started. Who remembers Mausi and Jaime and Pat!

Who knows why we know the name Wendy Hamilton, lol.

I'll go first. I first 'used' the internet in college. mostly to play MUDD games with my friends in the computer center. Back then, only 1 in 5 students actually had computers.

then came AOL. Discs in the mail. So you joined and rewired your phones with their modem accessory and then dialed in and waited for about 3 minutes to connect. I was a major looner back then and I used aol search for loons. And I found a few sites where there was a library of pics (and one of them you were sure had a balloon in the pic), but it was impossible to see anything unless you downloaded the picture.

So you'd download the picture and it would be a porn shot with a helium balloon behind the model.

BUT SOMEHOW, I also found a site called balloon buddies and it was dedicated to people that LIKE BALLOONS. I joined. From what I remember, it was a remailer. Basically the same thing as a forum, but every single reply is an email. We didn't have poppers and nonpoppers back then. We were still in shock that there were other people like us. I've never left this community.

I'm still amazed at how it has changed, but still stayed the same for 30 years. The guy that first started that "Looner" Club? He's here.

I hope he posts something on this feed. Who are the oldtimers here. And feel free to PM me if you don't want to admit to being an oldtimer, lol

Yes, I have been a member of the Buddymen for many many years. Have had some very interesting chats and meets via that site.

I will never forget when i first discovered through the internet that I wasn't alone in this work of balloon fetish. I was searching something again with the dial up connection in college on my roommates computer while he was out and out of know where I came across www.balloongirls.com I was stunned could this really be?? are there more people out there like me? I really thought someone was playing a joke on me. Then as time went on i found Alena, Jamie Italoon, mellyloon, emmas balloons . there were a ton of great sites out there back in the late 90s I wish I could still find some of the content from Balloongirls.com there was this one Model on there Mellissa OMG I was in love with her.

I found it back in the early 2000s while I was at uni and had computer access for the first time. It was surreal finding out that my weird balloon thing wasnt just my weirdo thing haha. I was so scared back then, both of telling people I am bi,and more so the balloon thing. I was terrified of being outed so didnt communicate much on balloon buddies. I was a lurker haha. I feel like I owe Buster Bill so much for being so open, and helping me to eventually be open too. So much love and respect to that man x

I got the Internet in the early days and one of the first things I did, was to do a search for balloon related stuff. I couldn't believe it when the Balloonbuddies came up and I found out that there were others with the fetish. Until then, I thought I was unique... It was like all my Christmases had come at once

I am still a member of Balloon buddies but I haven't posted in a long time. It still seems active as I get emails a couple of times per week.

I first joined in 1997 or so, and am still a member. Though I don't post actively anymore. And yes, I remember all those names. And Oit. And chipple. And countless others (including my then-pseudonym Tina).

Well, this is a trip down memory lane. I was one of the original members and even before the internet, was a member (and contributor) to the short-lived paper magazine. So, now you know that I am a 'senior looner' by age.
