Hi I would like to purchase or trade for vintage punch balloons (punch o balls).
The ones I am interested in are the 18" or larger. They would be the thicker
heavy latex. Each balloon would weigh about 30 grams or 1 oz.
These would probably be circa 1970's to early 1980's. The newer punch balloons have progressively gotten smaller and lighter.
Hi there fellow looney, the problem you may find with the older latex punch balloons is that they disintegrate over time, have you tried newer thicker ones ?

Yes, I would agree that latex does deteriorate with age. Many balloons will be not be inflatable. But I have found a few gems. Some as old as late 1980's and 1990's that are still inflatable to their rated size. I am looking for examples so that I can measure the size and weight so that a mold can be made, etc.
For example a 1977 punch ball rated 14" weighed 30 grams. A current Cattex punch balloon rated at 18"weighs 9 grams - so it is completely different balloon.
