I first joined in 1997 or so, and am still a member. Though I don't post actively anymore. And yes, I remember all those names. And Oit. And chipple. And countless others (including my then-pseudonym Tina).

I've known about Balloon Buddies but never joined. Several of you say you're members but don't post anymore. Why is that? Is it not so interesting as this forum?

Well, this is a trip down memory lane. I was one of the original members and even before the internet, was a member (and contributor) to the short-lived paper magazine. So, now you know that I am a 'senior looner' by age.

I was part of the Buddymen list, but think I fell out somehow and now can't rejoin. Is that list still active too?

Yes, both are still active. If you want to join the Buddymen, contact Buster Steve. He is the owner and can get you back on.

There was a big change in policy some 10, 15 years ago, which I disagree with. But the majority wanted it, so that's the way it is.

My claim to fame is that I designed the BB logo. I still think it looks quite fun!

I have been a member of The Balloon Buddies since 1997. It is a great group of Looners to share all sorts of balloon interests and ideas. Enjoy !!!!

Oh, we had poppers back then, even before 1970, before balloonbuddies. People inhaled poppers to enhance orgasms, lol lol.

I've been in balloonbuddies since the middle 00's. Before that, I didn't know how to access a computer yet.

Oh! - a big holler to Mike D above in Post #10!

There's been a lot of thefts of helium-filled balloons recently. More so than in the past, so they're going up. I think inflation is to blame.
