    Help sit popping bigger balloons

I want to try sit popping but every time i try i get very nervous. I have sit popped smaller balloons before but bigger ones just intimidate me. And I'd like to try popping because some of them are getting pretty old. May I have some advice or help please?

Edit: I have done it, it was amazing!

do you want the enjoyment of popping them on purpose? or just that you don't want them around anymore.

you could always just get more and more reckless in your normal play. nothing lasts forever afterall. just make sure you don't risk falling onto a hard floor. (trust me on that one)

It's more like a "I have a weak loon and I want to try something new so why not".

Go for it ! How big are they ? A couch , mattress or padded chair works well to save your butt when you fall to earth ! Are you planning on clothed or nude ?
Popper ! I love helium balloons

They are Q36s. I think I'm just nervous about the snap and the fall.

It an important point to have sufficient padding to fall onto when the balloon bursts. Landing the base of your spine on a hard surface is VERY dangerous.

It's also not a good idea to have someone lying on a balloon on top of you - when the balloon bursts, they will land suddenly and hard on you.

The latter is such a pity, cos it's a gorgeous feeling to have the weight of someone squashing a balloon on you .

Don't be worried about the snap, unless you're planning to do this nekkid. Then you'll probably get a nice red mark for your efforts...

Like others said, though be careful about the fall. For Q36s, I'd recommend a big bed, and straddle the balloon as best you can. Idea being to bring your weight down directly on top of the balloon so it pops and you also go straight down. If you attempt to sit back into a balloon of that size, do it so that you are already against a wall. If you don't, when it pops your butt will immediately drop down and your head and back will fling backwards. If onto a mattress, no big deal. If you catch a headboard or a wall that way, it's going to be awkward.

Alternately? Inflate it a bit smaller, so you can get the body of the balloon between your knees on the floor. And then squeeze the hell out of it until it pops!

Thank you, I forgot to mention that I can't fit on a fully inflated 36 so I have to scale it down to 32-34. Would it still pop?

I love Evelyn's words, too -- I think they are very very helpful!
When you need to, relax into it....have fun.....enjoy the feeling in more ways than one! In the end, whether it's the balloon...or you....that "pops", that's the excitement, the thrill, and the fun of what we looners do.

I've talked about it in a few different threads here, but I strongly recommend padding of some sort. I had an overinflated 24" Belbal pop unexpectedly as I was sitting on it. Dropped me straight onto my tailbone. Almost 4 years later it has finally stopped bugging me. There are times when popping balloons is just fun. Especially big ones. The last week or so I've been on a serious popping kick. I was alone at work one night and decided to pop some overinflated big balloons. Necked out Q36's, different 24" balloons, some 18"/16" and some shapes. I was nervous with the Q36 and how big and tight it was, but it took some serious effort for my 215 pound self to sit pop it.

How do you even neck a Q36?

                            2 methods.

Inflate the neck quite a few times so it stretches out then inflate the rest of the balloon.

Blow it up way larger than you think and it will start to get a neck on it. Did this method tonight. Bounced on it a few times while tugging on the knot and it would fill the neck.

Sounds like that works very well. I've seen a lot of similar neck stretching techniques lately with certain balloons like C32LN and C36LN.
