It was probably too much of a niche product for them to justify making them anymore. 24" feels a bit awkward in that it's too big for normal decorations, but still too small for that real "wow!"...

Those definitely looks like flaws that would cause a balloon to pop very easily. Not sure what causes is though. Could be age, a bad batch from the factory, or even improper storage during transport...

12" or 14" Unique are probably your best bet. Jennyloons have both of them, but only in bags of 100. Balloons-United only have the 14", but lets you buy them in whatever color and quantity you want.
