Re: Hello! - Where's my fellow scandinavians?

Hello to you all,

Sorry to barge in but since you are all here in one place, I want to ask if anyone has knowledge of when Skippyballs were introduced up your way, how popular they were/are with...

Re: Does size matter

Around 18-20" is my current preference, especially bobos.

24" used to be #1 but not so much now.

36" are good only for triple stuffing into a space hopper.

12" isn't particularly...

Why was the Q24 discontinued?

The Q24 is no doubt a groundbreaking classic. We all know it's probably the biggest hit ever in loonerdom. So why was the line stopped? Can't believe it was due to low sales but if you say that's...

Re: "Original" latex balloons...always soft and gummy?

Thanks. If the original form felt more like a rubber glove (soft, fragile, that's the closest comparison I can think of) and if that remained the standard, I doubt I'd be here now. I understand that...

Re: Ebay Vintage Punch balloon sale

Many years ago I found a three pack in an antique mall. They were probably 1950s. Somewhat sticky and brittle, they got to about 12 inches before they blew out.

Not to jack the thread but what...

"Original" latex balloons...always soft and gummy?

My understanding is that earlier, purer latex loons were generally softer, more fragile, and even somewhat gummy. As technology developed and ways sought to lower costs, chemical additives have made...

Re: Long term Balloon Storage - Tuftex 17

Was thinking same, with as much moisture removed as possible.

Hoppity Hops in action, 1968

They're at rated 20" but the new rubberiness and shine is neat to see.

Re: Noteable hopper history, by country

It's unfortunate that videotapes were routinely blanked and re-recorded up until around 1970, I imagine lots of hopper footage from UK tv was lost forever.

Re: Best Popping Phrase?

A woman's honest, suprised giggle at how stupid it all really is, yet fun.

Re: Noteable hopper history, by country

Been curious what the differences were btw Wembley and Mettoy hoppers. Always heard Wembley was first but that could be wrong.

Re: Noteable hopper history, by country

I suppose it's a compliment to the advances in vinyl chemistry that modern hoppers can be as strong as they are given the thinness of the material (which makes them easy and cheap to mass produce)...

Re: Noteable hopper history, by country

No, none that I've ever seen.

Got any input on the makers of different UK hoppers?

Noteable hopper history, by country

Looking for additional input if anyone has any. This all started in 1968-1969.

ITALY: The Pon-pon ball by Ledragomma seems to be the first hopper ever made, with Mr. Cosani credited as having...

Hopper workout video

Neat design, it can allow hands-free bouncing while using the legs to hold on. 65 cm.
