Just curious where folks, particularly in US, are buying specialty stuff like Cattex, now that Balloon-QC is gone as well as Nordicloons. I haven't bought from Balloons-United since they changed hands, but I see that as the next option. They were great before. Any experiences? Thoughts?

Re: Where to buy now?
I have had no problems ordering direct from Cattex (Italy). The cost is higher because of shipping and import charges.
I will miss Balloon-QC. They had great prices and were very fast shipping. Loved the Youtube videos with her accent too!Comment

Re: Where to buy now?
saveonballoons.com in the US sells Cattex and some larger balloons. There are also some US-based sellers on eBay that offer Cattex. However, no other North American supplier that I know of has as many brand choices as balloune-qc.Comment

Re: Where to buy now?
I'm from the UK and I've brought from both Balloons United - before and after they had changed ownership. The new service isn't as good, as let's say, isn't as personal as before now it's run by a guy called Sebastian I believe.
This was my last experience; 26-02-2020, I had paid maybe around £40 so around $50, including the extra for the 3-5 working day shipping. It then got lost in the post - this was admist covid so I presume the delays and ect came from the whole postal service being held. My order arrived finally after making contact with Sebastian - and he had to have the parcel sent back to his office for the correct stamp, and then he sent it back into the postal system and it arrived on the 04/04/2020. However if you're prepared to wait, it's worth it.
So delivery was long, but the quality of the balloons are immense. My cattex 32" as lasted me over a year and three months - as well as a few others I have. Like mouse figure heads and long neck cattexs. Lovely variety of printed balloons and Even they're "plain" loons are super strong and smell amazing!
Overall, I'd rate them a 7/10. Just wanted to include my whole experience. (:Comment

Re: Where to buy now?
Loonerworld eBay store has never let me down. Very nice person named Alex runs the store and ships all over the world for a reasonable price. I’d recommend to any looner
…and the use Angel from Loonselevator/Dorado/etc. in their item photos so that’s a definite bonus!Last edited by TheMole; 30-03-2022, 22:49.Comment

OMG I'm so sad to hear nordiclooners is closing
I got my first 6 foot balloon from them. It was the best looning experience of my life (so far).Comment

Re: Where to buy now?
I feel that Loonerworld is by far the greatest seller and goes above and beyond for good customers.
I remember that when Balloon-QC was based in France, it closed down a few times and then reappeared branded as something new. I figured this was a way for the business to get rid of stock as people would rush and buy what was left.
Have you been on the Balloon-QC website recently?
It might be worth having a look....Comment

Re: Where to buy now?
We all seem to have our preferences as to where we buy our supplies. These companies all have their way of promoting sales. As you say, some keep closing so that there's a rush to buy up stocks, then reopening again. Others give away freebies with orders, these probably are old stock they don't want to sell and give themselves a bad reputation, so they make us feel good at getting something for free, which promotes business
So watch out for the catches - especially today THE FIRST OF APRIL. Don't be a fool.Comment
