Is there a way to make the forum go back to looking the way it did before the update? Maybe I'm just old, but the new look is giving my eyes a hard time, especially since I can't find the customization settings.Comment

I think the new forum sucks eggs. Some issues I have are: There's no "New Posts" button to show forum posts since my last login. The search feature doesn't work at all - - I searched for words that were common in threads I followed and the search said "Nothing Found" for half a dozen words. The font size on mobile devices is completely illegible. Overall I think that this "upgrade" is a total disaster.

just checking - you're going to message centre -> inbox? If they're not there, I'll get someone to check that for you.Vicci xComment

I've seen enough online stuff change over the years to take most of it in stride, but I have to agree a non-working search function is bad. This one gives no results at all whatever you type, which at least is consistent so maybe it just needs to be activated in some way.
I haven't used the "new posts" function myself but I can see why it would be missed - however, the font size is on the smaller side even on a stationary computer. In fact, it's about the same size as on my phone, which isn't optimal when you can't bring the screen closer. Having to zoom in shouldn't have to be the solution, though the thinner body suggests the template was designed for phones from the ground up instead of being responsive (i.e. adapt according to device).
On the bright side, the private message interface is heaps better - it was a bit troublesome before so a marked improvement there!
I think it's far too early to condemn the new format - it always takes time to adjust stuff and I'm sure there's room for improvement, but for me personally the inability to search is a real issue. Hope it can be sorted without too much hassle!Comment

There's multiple themes to choose from. You'll find the style selector in the same place as before at the bottom left of the page.Vicci xComment

Search is a bit hit and miss at the moment, hopefully it'll sort itself when it has finished re-indexing everything.
Font size looks fine to me on a phone, no different to any other website? But I'll see if we can create a "large font" theme in the near future.Vicci x👍 2Comment

The new styles are responsive, the desktop version has spaces down the sides for advertising space (with the plan to remove ads from the top and bottom so you don't have to scroll so much to see content)... I'll see what we can do about that and if we can make them a bit wider whilst still covering some of the operational costs.Vicci x👍 1Comment

From what I experience now is that I need to log in every time, even when I check the remember me option.Comment
