NYE Club Balloon Drops & Pops

Anyone have any good stories from New Year’s Eve at clubs / venues with lots of balloons or inflatables to celebrate? Would love to see any photos too.

Hey there!!

I attended the Olive Garden NYE party in Times Square. As soon as you entered, there were balloons on the staircase leading up to the second floor. There were balloons on the second floor, which was small, but then when you got to the third floor, the amount of balloons was CRAZY! You couldn’t take more than one and a half steps without walking into curling ribbon hanging down from the helium balloons!! There was a sea of gold, white, black, and a relatively smaller amount of silver balloons. They were 11” Qualatex.

I knew this venue would have helium balloons, so I brought a large balloon sand weight to take balloons home with me after the party. Above my table were at least 25 balloons-I tied those to my weight as soon as I got to the table!! As the night went on, I grabbed more and more and MORE!! It was even funnier to me that the staff encouraged me to take balloons because it meant there was less for them to pop!!

With as many balloons as there were, I couldn’t help but ask the staff if I could help pop them, and they said YES!! About 15 minutes before midnight, the majority of restaurant patrons went out to watch the ball drop. I used this time to pop as many balloons as I could!! I was like a kid in a candy store. Sadly, I had no tripod to record, but I popped well over 50 balloons. I squeezed them for the most part.

It was the best NYE I’ve ever had, and I’ll happily go back every year, just for the balloon experience.

I attended a 50,000 balloon drop. I was first mesmerized as I ended up being waist deep in balloons; never had the experience before. Then I started popping them for the next hour or so along with the other guests. It was fun and will attend the same event for this year's NYE.

Hi there!! I popped some at the restaurant and others at home. It was so much fun!!
