    Gemar!

    Hi all,

So I'm looking a trying a new brand. Germar. My question is how are? Are they fragile? Pretty? do they smell like crap?

    I'm looking at this color

well more then just that one of course.

I'm a Tuf-tex guy (love the color). What would the Germar be compartiable to?

The larger sizes are definitely more on the round size - pretty durable if you don't overinflate them...

For whatever reason I've been going through a lot of smaller (11-12") in various brands lately - Gemar are a lot narrower and more elongated.

When pushed their sizes get very rock hard - a second inflation may be recommended depending on your preference. The defect rate was pretty low and the number that spontaneously exploded when heavily overinflated and tied off (I did 600 in a room... ) was a little more than anticipated.

Personally I'm more a fan of Kalisan brand right now over Gemar - would probably consider them comparable in my taste to Sempertex if you are familiar. (Though imho Sempertex are superior...)

      Have fun & happy looning!

You can buy from Majestic Party Rentals. I couldn't find for sure if they ship to CA but worth asking.

I like the Gemar 12" in crystal colours - really durable, and you can reliably over-inflate them so much that they ring like a bell - pops are very predictable.

I tired Kalisan, but didn't really like the colors, I found they popped super ease perhaps the ones I got where junk?

my unit has little sound proofing so I've been a non-popper for the past 5 years. Plus for me my fetish is more on the non-pop side. I like to look and hump my balloon. But I accpet popping is part of the game. I plan to get some once my TufTex supply dwindles I have 2 big bags of 24' and 1 bag of cystals purples.

I'm trying to figure out these https://www.bargainballoons.ca/10bro...1&Display=High

            google comes back with nada!

Okay so gut my Gemars in.

                  50 normal color
50 neon (these feel weird to touch) all 12' inches

they aren't round like the 19'

the 19' I like more they are rounder.

                  so 25 marcoon (there okay)
25 cystal pink and blue love these!

Really, really good balloons, and they make a nice "crack" of a pop when blown too big!

If anyone is still curious, there is a new video from Susyloon that shows just how strong the Gemar 19" crystal actually are.

It's amazing that a balloon that seems so tight on first inflation can stretch out so much and turn out to be one of the strongest.

One of the first European brands I ever purchased was well over 10 years ago from one of those sellers that no longer exists. It was gemar, probably the 19 inch. Deep red standard color. Excellent quality, super durable. The only one I ever had and it sticks in my memory.

If you look closely in the Susy video, you'll see that they're quite underinflated.

I recently bought a bunch of the crystal Gemar 19s from Bargain Balloons, and I found that they actually popped pretty easily. They are quite sturdy if do what she did and don't try to neck them, but they became pretty unstable any time I overinflated them and tried to get a neck. Because of that, even after stretching them out, they ended being even smaller than Unique 16s in my experience.

That's interesting. I usually just inflate them to rated size without pre-stretching. They seem to stretch out by themselves when inflated. Also, because of their tightness and shape, I never really expected a neck. It's more of a bump.
