風船フェッチ (romanized as fuusen fecchi) is the term that literally means balloon fetish. Most twitter people just simply state that they love balloons. I think the fetish part is pretty much implied.

To add to AF said, so 風船フェチ means "balloon fetish", and they tend to use that over another term for "people who like balloons." They will usually just say "I have this fetish" or "I love balloons", like that. That said, you will also see looner written in English on occasion, usually for things like tags so it's not like the term is unknown in that space.

Though what is interesting is that they WILL specify whether they are a popper (ポッパー) or a nonpopper (ノンポッパー). So usually it'll be written like "For those who have a balloon fetish" and people will start with "I'm a nonpopper..." like that.

Here's a translated description from an escort site that has a built-in option for balloons: "A first in Japan for those of you who feel arousal from latex balloons! The Balloon Fetish Course is now available! Even at a normal escort service, isn't it difficult to say "I want to play with balloons"? All of our "balloon angels" are truly interested in and appreciate the balloon fetish, so you can enjoy with confidence! We also welcome you bringing your own balloons! Both poppers and nonpoppers will be able to play to their heart's content!" You can see how they don't use an equivalent word, but then DO use popper and nonpopper.

i have often wondered about this. there is clearly a healthy looner scene in japan but i've never had much luck finding content from that part of the world myself.

Look on Booth. Copy and paste 風船フェチ into the search bar, and you'll get a bunch of Japanese looner content you can buy. There isn't much variety in the content, but you can get a lot of... bang for your buck if it's what you're into.
