These are decorative and I can imagine will be considerably more expensive than basic 11". If they didn't make these in a 36" either then I'm assuming they are waiting to see how well they sell. I'm not saying never for 16" and 36", I'm just thinking a year or so down the road or longer if it were to happen.

From a looner standpoint I don't have much interest in these, for the same reasons as many have already mentioned. From a decoration standpoint however, they look amazing!

There's more information from Greg at Balloon Market on youtube. Availability, price, comparison with similar Qualatex balloons etc. Pick up first link on this board then scroll to find Balloon Market info

That's a bit steep for a price. At least from a Canadian stand point, they said a 100 ct of 11" will be around $29, and a bag of twisting balloons will be $20.

Well, considering they're essentially metallics, I'd say they will be hard. Metallic balloons don't feel as smooth as regular balloons, and they get tight really quickly as opposed to any other type (standard, crystal, pearl maybe).

I am really curious about the first experiences! If someone buys them, please post your findings here!

So they're PRINTED .....I thought the metallic stuff was actually in the latex....hmmmm... then they should be as playable as a regular printed balloon...i emphasize should...i dunno Damn it, I have to try some of these out...I'm crazy curious....

                          Re: New Qualatex Metallics

I bought a couple last night to put into a bouquet. They felt like a pearlized balloon. Not as smooth as the 16" beside with them. Other than being expensive, and really pretty, there isn't much of an appeal, at least for me.

Yeah just looking at them I can tell they don't seem all that nice.

I agree. I personally wouldn't buy this item. I think they would be perfect as decorations only.
I want to live surrounded of big and colorful balloons

Here we are 13 months later after the last post on Qualatex metallic balloons and all seems to have gone quiet. Probably if they are still being made then decorators are using them. From what's been written here it would seem looners don't like them very much for various reasons.
