I want to thank you all on here who have given me confidence to push my belbal 14" further. I never thought I'd achieve a neck on a balloon but swapping to the belbals (I absolutely love these balloons) has really helped a non popper push a balloon further. I'm sure they'll be a failure at some point but getting these necks is brilliant!

I like teardrop shaped if I'm blowing for the sake of blowing or to make them pretty or to BTP. I rarely see them blown that big for decorations or displays - probably because the decorator or client wants the balloons to last longer. But occasionally I'll see some blown into pear shapes and it's a huge moment for me. Not so tight if I'm sitting or riding on a balloon.

Don't worry about the Q11s being tight.
That's normal, they get very tight.

You can keep on blowing until the neck is fully inflated.

I agree about the Q11, a find I can blow them till they are tight and they still take a hammering. Loud pop though!

Got these ones slightly bigger but it always feels like it's about to pop. Suddenly gets really hard to blow and rock hard.

And one more. This one was previously inflated awhile ago so was probably a bit weaker and I didn't want to push it.

With helium hard to tell.. but the q24 was a great light bulb, but have not found anything that compares to it's shape

                    Hi,

As I see it a balloon is fully inflated only the moment before it pops, so I would say it has light bulb shape.
Mostly I blow them until they pop, but for decorations it is cool to tie them just before they cannot take anymore. This makes up for some loud spontaneous pops during the event, - and maybe for some balloon blowing as well to ‘repair’ the decoration.

I am quite good at pinpointing just the right size to more or less ensure spontaneous popping, even though some balloons inevitably will pop during the process, - either from being blown just a tiny bit too much or from popping by themselves too quickly after being tied - or during being tied for that matter. Both just add to the fun

As for Q11” I think they can get quite some neck. I still have some, so I will try to make a pic one of these days.

                    Thanks for reading my posting.

                    Sincerely
                    Susie

For public decorations teardrop shape is better, but for myself of course bulb shape, everywhere swelling up tightly. The only problem is that it's almost impossible to tie such a balloon.

                        Hi,

As I promised in my earlier posting in this thread here is a pic of a Q11 balloon showing how the neck looks when fully blown up. I would say it has light bulb shape. Actually the balloon is blown up a little more than for 'just' filling the neck - I couldn't help also making it nicely big and tight. If you want to be safe I suggest you stop as soon as the neck is full (mine popped when I tried to remove the clip to blow it up more).

                        Pic is below (I hope....)

                        Sincerely

                        Susie

Would you call this fully inflated? (Tuftex 14”)
