The easiest for me has been 16" Uniques. They are thinner than the other brands with that size and are easy to blow all the way. I've found that smaller balloons get really difficult to keep blowing past a certain point and they're often really tight, resulting in a "sharper" bang. The downside with a 16" balloon is that there's a lot more time to chicken out.
I know that the actual bang doesn't scare me, as long as I'm wearing earplugs and safety glasses, but the anxiety still makes me chicken out most of the time

Just get a pair of earplugs and you're good to go then Just try to pop a few using different methods to get used to the noise. A blow to pop will only sound slightly louder if you put earplugs in.

Ear plugs works great, i did with them and if you dont sure about buu some industriel headphone you can use it at the same time. What did it for me was do it in a car that will lower the bang aswel. But its hard to clean after a pew b2p haha

A few shots of vodka first. Warm feeling, love the popping and adds extra tingle to the enevitable mastrubation. Only way I can do it yet

to lose fear it is best not to do it alone. I explain nothing better than to see another blowing and you blow both competition and fear at first without hurry after the first becomes very fun addictive and no longer scared but I have to admit that you will first be the one who will most nerves give.

Hi there,

When I was young I so wanted to become able to blow up balloons until they pop, because this was the most scary I could at all imagine doing with a balloon. I had the idea, that if I could only do this, I would never ever be scared of balloons anymore. I would be cured for both my phobia and those strange sexual feelings that had developed and made me feel kind of 'not normal'. As it went I did get able to blow to pop balloons - actually there is no kind of balloon I do not dare to blow to pop (as far as I know). I also got cured from my phobia, even though my fear is still there. It is more so, that I have learned to control the fear and instead interpret it as kind of thrill and excitement. For what it is worth I will give you some ideas based on my experiences.
First you need to know that blow to pop is almost entirely a mental thing. When you think about it logically it is no big deal really. The bang isn't that loud compared to loud music or other loud noises we are quite used to and even enjoy. The pop is not so dangerous either. You are not likely to be hit in your face as long as you use round balloons as these almost always pop away from you. Besides you can wear earplugs and goggles/glasses to eliminate these 'dangers'. Finally it is so that when you blow up a balloon and it suddenly pops, then it is all over. The danger - and also the fear - is gone before you can even blink an eye. Now to some practical things you can consider:

1. Don't make the mistake of starting out with small balloons. Small balloons get very tight, and you will feel the 'risk' of them popping any moment very strongly. To keep blowing such a balloon will demand huge determination - most likely more than you can muster. Instead get yourself some bigger balloons. With such balloons there is always a chance that they will take an extra blow and thereby demand less mental effort from you. Chose some balloons that are not so strong; I would suggest Unique 14" or 16" as these are not very strong and are easy to blow all the way until 'the end'.

2. Don't confuse succes with failure. At some point a balloon will pop while you are blowing it up. If this happens then remember that this is exactly what you want. You have succeeded! This is also the case if the balloon pops 'prematurely' - you have blown the balloon up until it popped, right? Remember this

3 Balloons - even not so strong ones like the Uniques - still are able to take much more blowing than most people think. No matter how many video clips you have watched you will still be amazed when you are doing the blowing yourself.

4. Be patient. Being a mental thing it is not something you will get through 'just like that'. You need to know that it will be a slow progress. However I promise you that you will succeed. I did, and I was so scared of balloons that even writing or reading the word 'balloon' made me tremble from fear. You will definately succeed

5. Here is how I worked with it: Start blowing up a balloon as far as you dare (in the beginning I only dared to just start it). Then simply hold the balloon and look at it. Get used to it, and after a little while you will feel condifident that it is not going to pop right away. This will make you a little calmer, and maybe you will manage to overcome blowing just one extra breath into the balloon. Then stop again and wait until you feel safe, that the balloon won't pop this time either. Keep going as long as you at all dare. When you no longer dare to blow anymore then look at the balloon for a while and admire your work for as long as you dare. Even if you only dared one extra blow or maybe even none you have added to your confidence in the balloon and thereby also yourself. Then simply let the air out and save the balloon to another day.
Next time use the very same balloon. Now you know how big it will at least go, and the chances are that you will be just a little bit calmer and dare to blow the balloon just a little bigger than last time. Simply repeat the above exercise. As time goes by the balloon will get softer and easier to blow up. It will also become somewhat more fragile, and at some point it will probably pop while you are blowing into it. You have succeeded!
Then repeat with another balloon. You can also have more balloons going in the same 'exercise tour' if that makes any sense. I would suggest that you use only one balloon for each 'blow-to-pop-practise-tour’ though as it is important that you sort of get to know your balloon and build up some confidence in it.
The whole idea with this exercise is mental: You need to very slowly push your limits without overstepping them. I did it all on my own (I didn't dare to tell anybody about my balloon 'thing' and besides I had been teased with very much due to my fear of balloons), but if you have a really really good friend it might help you along. It is extremely important to just push your limits and not overstep them, and this takes a very very good and extremely patient friend for sure! You can maybe do it with an online friend through a messenger or something - this will make it easier for you to be in control and not being pushed beyond your limits.

6. When you succeed you will most likely get somewhat the same feeling as I did - something like: 'That wasn't so bad, I can do this again right away'! Well, you will find out that you can't. However don't let this discourage you. Instead notice that even though you cannot bring it over yourself to make another blow to pop you are now able to blow the balloon bigger than earlier before you lose your nerve. Then repeat the above exercise. Be patient and allow yourself to enjoy your progress - you are getting braver all the time!

7. At some point you will finally be able not to stop before the balloon pops and thereby blow the balloon to pop on purpose. You have almost reached your goal, but you have to keep practising it over and over, until you can do it each and every time with a balloon 'fresh from the bag'.

8. When you have finally come so far you will probably realise that you haven't really lost your fear, - it is more that you have learned to control it. However you will also find that you have become much braver with balloons than most people, and maybe you will even enjoy it. This was what happened to me; today I cannot think of anything better to do with a balloon than trying to see how big I can blow it up before it pops - and the louder the better. Amazing how we can change!

Finally I will thank you for reading this far, and I wish you the best of luck with overcoming your fear Be patient - you will succeed and become a - seemingly - fearless 'balloon-blow-to-popper'.

Have fun: KNUS (Danish for hugs)

Thanks for the advice. I remember talking with you a few years ago. Since then I've been able to overinflate them without fear but haven't managed to pop them yet. Just need more practice.
