You have a choice to make...

So you've blown up your balloons. After the fun, how do you get rid of them? I'm assuming you're a not a fan of popping, since I'm posting this in the non popper forum.

I use balloon clips for the big ones with the thick necks that i can't tie off.For the smaller ones i only tie them off half way.I only pull the end through half way so it keeps the air in and later i can just pull the end back out to use them again at a later date.

I like my balloons as tight as possible, so I only use them once. After I'm done playing I just untie and deflate them.

I STILL have this fear with balloons, but not inflatables...go figure! If I'm in the mood to play with balloons then I either use clips or just untie them and deflate them when I'm done.

I use large binder clips to clip them off or just half knots (but those can be tricky) so that I can deflate them when I'm done. Rarely will I tie off any balloon larger than a foot or so.

I typically never tie balloons because I'm terrified that once they are tied, the only way to get rid of them would be to pop them. So I typically enjoy balloons being blown up, but then just deflated and discarded.

I untie them. Half-knots are the non-poppers best friend. I use clips for the bigger balloons.

Could you tell me how to do a "half-knot?"

Only pull The ring on the neck through the knot halfway

I use rubber bands to tie them. Very easy to untie them But be careful to not tie it too tight. And if they can't be untied, use scissors and cut in the knot or just under the knot so they don't pop. The only disadvantage is you have to throw away the balloon .

Why not just (carefully) cut the rubberband itself? There's a risk of poking the balloon, but at least there's a chance of being able to keep it instead of just cutting the balloon itself.

Clips for the larger necks & half knots for 14" & smaller. Both allows deflation & use another time. Does anyone hot water shrink the deflated balloon? Have to dry it off with tissue paper then talc surface to stop sticking together.

I loop a rubber band through itself and tighten it around the neck of the balloon like a slipknot. When finished, I just loosen the rubber band and deflate without any harm
