Same here, I think it's because they're not as smooth and shiny as a 'normal' balloon. I guess that's also why crystals are my favourite!

Still, I might see if I can get some and give them a try

I also prefer crystals. I love how transparent they get once overinflated. These look nice but aren't the same.

The transparency makes the balloon look all the more fragile than it already is. Metallic colors make them seem more like a beach ball, and crystals (or perfectly transparent ones) look more like soap bubbles that could pop at any instant (but with a terrifying bang). I was always more afraid of clear balloons than I was of solid colors or metallics as a kid, which I suspect is why I'm more turned on by balloons that are at least a little bit see-through (even if only when hit by the sun). Transparency also further accentuates the effect of being inflated from a soft, empty balloon into a tight, very thinly stretched balloon with a lot of scary potential energy, making it even more exciting. I also love those "neon" balloons that are mostly clear but with a soft colored tint.

Yeah....they look nice but i have mixed feelings....as b0f0s0f says....one of the appeals of crystals is the fragile soap bubble look. But im still curious as to how they are when it comes to a good play session

These in 16" would be great! If only they would make these in 24" then that'd just be tops for me haha (RIP Q24)

These are decorative and I can imagine will be considerably more expensive than basic 11". If they didn't make these in a 36" either then I'm assuming they are waiting to see how well they sell. I'm not saying never for 16" and 36", I'm just thinking a year or so down the road or longer if it were to happen.

From a looner standpoint I don't have much interest in these, for the same reasons as many have already mentioned. From a decoration standpoint however, they look amazing!

There's more information from Greg at Balloon Market on youtube. Availability, price, comparison with similar Qualatex balloons etc. Pick up first link on this board then scroll to find Balloon Market info

That's a bit steep for a price. At least from a Canadian stand point, they said a 100 ct of 11" will be around $29, and a bag of twisting balloons will be $20.
