Yeah I had balloons around during my childhood too, but they never held the same appeal to me as inflatables did. But then in my mid teens I got into them, they're a totally different kettle of fish- for me they had this vulnerability, they were fragile but I loved all the noises n sounds they made.... but yes, I feared them bursting which became the real fascination with them.
Pushing a balloon to its limits either through inflation, or riding one- making as much noise as one could get out of one, without deliberately popping it. Though they often did of course.
I don't mind popping balloons through riding them, but I'm still a total wuss when it comes to blow to popping, no problems with watching others b2p, but just can't bring myself round to doing a b2p myself
