I use a vacuum pump aquired from an old IBM magnetic tape unit. I's silent and powerful, a bit slow though...

I got one of those pink and blue double electric pumps you see everywhere in videos cheap of an auction a few years ago. It's a bit noisy (sounds like a vacuum though), but it works great.

I have an electric pump with 400Watts.
Ordered is some years ago at Top Ballon for about 60€.

It is quite noisy, sounds like a big vaccuum, but it inflates balloons quite quick and has a good amount of power. It bursts Q24s and other tough balloons easily.

Now that I read this thread I think I should get a hand pump too, I think slowly pumping the balloons with it could be fun.

I have the blue version of the electric balloon inflators that you see in the videos. They're usually pricier than a vacuum or electric inflator that you can buy for camping at like a Target or Wal-Mart but it's worth the money. They can run from anywhere from $40-$125 depending on wattage power output, but I got one for about $45 and it works great. It has a double nozzle so I can inflate 2 balloons at once. Super fast with any balloons 11" to 17" and has no problem with bigger balloons either-- it can BTP virtually any balloon. If you're shopping for one, I see they're on Amazon for about $28. https://www.amazon.com/LotFancy-Port...lloon+inflator

I'm looking for something to save my energy instead of hand pump or mouth to inflate my balloons. Beware though those in UK & other areas the one LoudPopper has found is only 110/120v not 240/250v UK requires.

If you have a hardware store around you, you can find a small hand pump that is intended for transferring oil between two places. It's pretty nice for the price and it's not too loud. Inflates kinda slowly, so I guess it depends on how you use it if you'll like it or not!

I've used an aquarium pump to inflate a balloon. It's not fast. I've been meaning to buy a much larger one.

I use a shop vac and can usually manipulate things to inflate everything from 12 inches on up.

Wow I never knew that there was a different watteage requirement between the UK and the US. That's interesting!

I think that is because of he voltage difference. UK and Europe is 220 volts 50 Hz and the USA is 120 volts 60 Hz. So, if volts x amps = watts then a 1 amp motor will be 120 watts in the USA and 220 watts in the UK. but I think that the UK version will have a smaller motor and will only draw half an amp so the watts will be the same. this would give the inflater the same power.

I recently bought an electric inflator. A zibi z-32. it was like a kind of fetish because it's the same as the ones I've seen used in many videos

Hi Barcelona33, from another looner in Spain.
How loud is your Zibi Z-32, compared to the cheap electric balloon pumps?
The Zibi pumps seem to be very expensive, so I wonder if their high price is worth it, if the goal (my main goal) is for the pump to be more quiet.

                              thanks,
